The F.A. Cup Third Round

As Gordon Strachan said, "The fans day".

There is nothing like this early Saturday in January when the small and the big compete for football's finest prize. The big boys of Manchester were embarassed By Exeter and Oldham
whilst Scunthorpe had there ten minutes of glory when they led at Chelsea only to be overcome by a wiley Portugese manager helped by the billions of a corrupt Russian crook.

As for Exeter City I am delighted for them - they were relegated from the football league a few year ago and nearly went into receivership. But they are now a trust owned by the good citizens (supporters) of Exeter and are still in debt to the tune of £750,000. This will be paid off from their magnificent draw against Manure at Old Trafford yesterday and the further income that they will get from the replay. Fairy tales do sometimes come true.

As for my own team the Blues - we took Leeds United to the cleaners and I feel it is inevitable that we will now go on and win the Cup for the first time in our history. Read more at

My fairy tale too is unfolding - I will soon be in No. 10. The king is dead long live Macbeth.
Regards
Gordon
