Blues Lose - Again

I've had forty four years of agony and ecstasy supporting the Blues, mostly the former. We had a wonderful period when we had all time greats such as Trevor Francis, Bob Latchford, Kenny Burns and Bob Hatton all playing in the same side. Those, for me were the glory years. The rest has been a roller coaster of ups and downs. Mind you, we're due for a pot or two, not having won a major trophy since we were formed in 1875.

Around Xmas time we won four games on the trot and had the satisfaction of thrashing the hated Vilers, who have never beaten us in the Premiership. Then, just when you think your on a winner, they go and let you down and we've lost the last two. It's like being married to a beautiful woman with whom the relationship is never consummated.

But the fans are a wonderful bunch who have stuck together through thick and thin - very erudite lot too as evidenced by the posers who list their views at http://www.birminghamcity-mad.co.uk. The problem is we have one big loser on the site who upsets everyone else with his cantankerous ramblings and his infallible ability to predict a win every time we lose - if you get my drift. He is not a blogger but his ramblings can be found here http://themisanthrope.typepad.com/ma_vida . I mean who else, but a nerdy social worker would have a URL like that.

Anyway we lost honorably to Bolton who are admirably led by one of the most honest men in the game Big Sam Allardyce - so I can't complain too much other than to ponder at some Of Steve Bruce's selection decisions. For instance last nigh he played our right back, who had a torrid time against Newcastleon Saturday, at left back. The only proper left back that we have at the club, who in my humble opinion, is a very good player indeed was on the subs. bench. Funny old world.

That'll do for now other than to mention my brother Anthony. You wouldn't believe this but he is an accountant. Here I sit, till three in the morning, dreaming up different ways to tax the general public and the minute I get a good wheeze going there he is trying to unravel it.

It's an unfair world. And I expect him upstairs (Tory Tony) will be appearing on the media for the next few weeks telling everyone how he is going to save the world when the disaster we all predicted is occurring in Iraq.

It's not weapons of mass destruction he should have taken the high moral ground over but WAVES OF MASS DESTRUCTION - about which he has done too little too late.
Away the noo
