Dirty Dick's

When I was a boy in Wiltshire on a Sunday lunchtime, my father would send me to the Bridge Inn at Wootton Bassett for his two pints, to be carefully served into two old Tizer bottles, by Dick - to have with his Sunday dinner.
Ten years old - and no prohibition or limitation on a 10 year old getting in a few pints - for which I was rewarded with a bag of Smith's crisps.
Used to skip back home to enjoy my crisps, whilst dad would mutter about the quality of Usher's ales .
Happy times.

Gordon

Tomorrow more on my man in MI5 - special agent Speks.
