High up, in a beautiful glass cabinet in Barcelona's Kamp Neu, is a pennant given to Barca by The Blues in 1957. It was presented by Birmingham City to Barcelona in the first European final of the first European championship to be played since the war, in 1957.
Not a lot of people in football know that; certainly Lawrence, Linekear and the putrid Green are blissfully unaware. So too are Leeds, Manure, Liverpool and Chelsea fans - but I was there and in a few years time BCFC will be Champions of Europe - and I will be there again.
