Sorry to be a party pooper but - most, though not all, of the stars are on an ego trip, and the fans having a party. Party indeed - whilst they enjoy themselves 3,000 African children an hour will die.

If they have a conscience, which I doubt, they would stand still, wearing something white, on Saturday and commit themselves to paying £10 a month direct debit to Oxfam, War on Want, Red Cross, whoever for the rest of their lives.
It is sick to party on poverty - go to http://www.oxfam.org.uk and do the decent thing - for ever and ever. Ever heard of Peter Gabriel? Been working to save African's dying for thirty years - he's not at the concert.
